I entered the University through StudyinChinas.com. Now I’m studying in a language school of Hunan Agricultural University, in the beginning, the lessons were in English, now teachers try to speak Chinese. Like, it is specific, but it can be adapted. I’m almost 2 weeks here. I like Changsha city!

HDU review from Anna, from Ukraine
Hello! My name is Anna and I am from Ukraine. I study at Dianzi University in Hangzhou, China, and I really like it. A good teaching staff and highly qualified teachers give a really good education. Many of them educated abroad.
The city is very beautiful, and the prices of food, accommodation and studying are reasonable. Classes begin in the morning, then a lunch break, and then we have classes again. In the evening, free time: students have a rest or prepare notes for the next day, or devote these hours to self-improvement.
There are 20 people in the group where I study, many of them from other countries, such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, African countries, Indonesia, Korea. Therefore, we can make a lot of foreign friends. I really want to help my country, to participate in the improvement of the economy of Ukraine with the help of Chinese investments, therefore, in addition to specialization, I study Chinese very well.
The dining room of the university is tasty and not expensive, there are different cuisines (Chinese, European, fast food) and the same food that is familiar to us, potatoes, rice, chicken, salads.
Umit, Kazakhstan, NUIST
Umit, Kazakhstan, Nanjing University of Information Sciences and Technologies
Hello to all! I am Zholamanova Umit, I arrived in Nanjing from the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan. The first year I will take language preparatory courses, and then I plan to continue my studies at the undergraduate degree. In the hostel I have a single room, there is a bed and two closets, air conditioning and a bathroom. In general, I really like this city, so I advise you to come here to study at NUIST.
Hi, my name is Malika. I came to study in China, because this country and people living here are very interesting for me. I was very surprised by the development of the state. People are open, and when they see that you are a foreigner, they will definitely help. It inspired me to travel to another city during the winter holidays. I also like the language itself, it is especially interesting to listen to how the locals speak. I try to repeat after them, they speak quickly, but you still understand the meaning. For me, the most important thing in learning a language is to learn words and not being lazy!
Nagiya Shaimerdenova, Parent, Kazakhstan
Hello! I am the mother of a student who last year entered Chansha University. Very grateful and pleased with the company that helped us. There was a difficult choice of where to study, but after talking with the manager and director of the company, there was no doubt to go to study in China. I am very pleased not only with their professionalism, but also with the attitude to children. Representatives of the company went along with the students, helped them with a dorm, showed everything and told about the city. As you know not every company takes on such responsibility! Of course, my younger children will also go to study with the help of your company! Thank you for opening a new world and opportunities for my son!
My name is Batyr, I studied in the specialty “Chinese teacher”. I came to China, Chansha City, in order to see this other life, to know the country from the inside, to develop as a personality, because, many say, the more places you visit, the more global you will think. I also chose this city because Mao Zedong lived here, a significant person in the history of China; I was wondering how he lived and what inspired him. After passing the language training, I plan to enroll in the same university for the master degree. My little advice: if you want to enroll and study in China, you have to be very diligent, starting with language courses.
Pauline, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia
Hello everyone, I’m Pauline, and I’m from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia. I appealed to StudyinChinas at the end of March. Documents were collected and handled very fast. I mean, I was asking questions and consultant also was answering and giving me advice fast. I arrived in China at the end of August. The terms of scholarship: tuition fees were covered for 4 years, but I needed to pay for accommodation (1800 yuan/month). The dormitory is incredibly good. You are living alone in your room. The room is equipped with everything you need.
Medina Baratova about Shanghai University, Bashkortstan, Ufa
Good day everyone! I’m writing this review sitting in the library of my university. The same as me young guys and girls are sitting next to me. Everyone was happy or excited about the upcoming exams. Study in China is not so easy. But everything will be okay, in case you are studying hard. StudyinChinas helped me with my visa and accommodation. Also, they were supporting me until my full settlement. 3 months have passed and we will have kaoshi (exams). All preparing! Wish you all good luck with admission to university!

My name is Nikita and I’m from Moscow. After finishing school I have been thinking a lot about the university. In Germany, Czech or China? After a week of thinking, I chose China. Left my application on the website. After 3 weeks received the answer from the company. As said my consultant Sabina, I was the last student, who applied for admission. After departing from Moscow I was greeted in Shanghai. Then our group was brought by bus. I really like my university. Large and green campus. All teachers are very good!

“Madina, why did you choose China?” – one of the most common question from friends and family members. Today I want to tell you why China.
I have read and heard many times, that the fastest and effective way to improve your level of a foreign language is to move to a place, where people speak only this language. It sounded quite logical to me and I decided to choose a country where they speak English or other common foreign languages. I planned to study in English and one more language would be helpful.
CHINESE DIPLOMA IS VALID IN MOST COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD
This point is one of the most important for me. The last thing I wanted was to devote 4 years of my life to a paper, which will be valid only in one country.
MY UNIVERSITY IS IN THE TOP OF 100 BEST UNIVERSITIES IN THE WORLD
For me, this is an important factor. Zhejiang University is ranked in the top 3 best universities in China and in the top 100 best universities in the world.
I RECEIVED A QUOTA FOR STUDYING AND SCHOLARSHIP
Education – it is one of the most valuable things in the modern world. I was incredibly happy when I found out that I can live and study for free. I applied for a scholarship and received several offers, which included free education, accommodation, and a scholarship. I just chose the best and most suitable option for me.
COSTS DURING THE FIRST MONTH⠀
1. Deposit for dormitory
In our university – China University Of Petroleum (石油大学) – the cost of the deposit in the new dorm is 1500 yuan. After payment you will be given a check, you need to keep it. Anything you break will be deducted from your deposit. In all institutes this fee is different, in most cases, it is less than ours.
We bought it for 500 yuan, so the advice is not to buy at the university. It is more expensive there, it is better to find out carefully the tariffs and where it is better to buy.
A student card, on which you can put money on it and pay in the canteen. Also, you can use it to enter the dormitory, where the system also takes pictures of us. It cost 15-20 yuan
4. Health examinations
It also costs differently, in our university is 450 yuan.
5. Bed linen
Here you can also buy bed linen, but it is too expensive. I don’t remember the exact price. But beyond bed linen, the set includes a blanket and a pillow because all rooms are completely empty. But you can buy everything much cheaper in local shops and it could have better quality. One set of bed linen is better to bring with you.
6. Room arrangement
we divided all the expenses for arranging the room in half. Шt came out somewhere around 400 yuan, perhaps even less for me. But these are basic things like pots, mops, kettle, etc.
If you cook yourself you will spend about 800 yuan per month on food. Otherwise, if you prefer to eat in cafes, it will be about 1200-1400 yuan per person.
For the first month, you will need about 3000 yuan including food.
Hello everyone! At the moment I am learning the Chinese language in China.
WHAT LANGUAGE IS TEACHED IN?
All lessons are in English only. I came to China with a not very good level of English, and therefore I had some excitement before moving to another country. But fortunately, it wasn’t that hard to adjust here. In the classroom I easily perceive new.
IS IT HARD TO STUDY IN CHINA?
At this stage, I would not say that the Chinese language is something supernatural. I can say one thing, the Chinese language is simple and understandable if you are studying hard. You should listen carefully to your teacher, work during classes, do your homework, learn by heart hieroglyphs. But I think everyone is familiar with laziness, and sometimes you really don’t want to go to the library and repeat the covered topic or listen to the teacher during the lessons. That happens sometimes with me, but in any case, I try to learn everything on time.
HOW TO READ IN CHINESE?
I have not yet found this life hack, maybe it does not exist at all. Actually, I am just learning hieroglyph and its name. I write it many times and voila! There are many familiar words in the Chinese language. The more I am here, the more I learn a lot of new things. I think there will be an additional post about learning Chinese because this is just the beginning of learning the language.
